How to Make a Chipmunks Dance AI Video

How to make a Chipmunks Dance AI video of your trio from three photos: who goes in the middle, which photos work, how long it takes, the sound to add.

Last updated: 2026-11-03

The short answer

The fastest way: upload three photos, one adult per photo, choose who goes in the middle, and download a 25-second 9:16 MP4 at 720p, usually under 15 minutes. That is how to make a Chipmunks Dance AI video without filming or learning the moves. The other ways are filming it yourselves in one take, or a CapCut template that takes one photo and makes a shorter clip (free options compared).

Make it from three photos

  1. Open the Chipmunks Dance AI video generator and fill the three slots: Middle: the lead, Left and Right. Each takes one photo (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB) of you and two friends who are in on it.
  2. Check that every photo shows one adult, face clearly visible, looking at the camera.
  3. Tap Make our video. You get a 25-second 9:16 MP4 at 720p with no watermark, usually under 15 minutes, in the shape TikTok, Reels and Shorts use.
  4. Download the MP4 and add the sound in TikTok (below).

One video is $9.90, one-time, or $7.98 each in the 5-video pack.

Who goes in the middle: each dancer’s moments

Every slot gets screen time, but not the same moments. Times are in seconds from the start of the sound:

SlotTheir moments
Middle: the leadBack to the camera, hands behind the head (4.2–8.0); facing it, arm thrown up, then a low crouch (13.3–17.3)
LeftComes up close to the phone (9.2)
RightComes up close to the phone (11.0)
All threeStill, facing the camera (0–2.35); the spin (18.4); the rush at the phone, faces filling the frame (23.6–25)

Put the person who should be seen most in the middle: the birthday friend, the bride, the one who talked the others into it. In the first solo the lead faces away, so their face shows best in the second solo and the close shots at the start and end.

Why our version differs from the original

The original posts are real trios filmed in one take, and dancers trade places as they go. Ours is a template: Your video is our own remake of the Chipmunks Dance, made once with three AI-made dancers: each of your three photos takes one dancer’s place, frame by frame, and no frame of anyone’s TikTok is used. It is made with Kling 4.0’s edit mode, so the moves, the timing and the camera stay exactly the same in every video.

Three things are on purpose:

  • Places are fixed. Left stays left and Right stays right, and nobody crosses in front of anyone, which helps keep each face on its own dancer.
  • It is the whole routine, from the still start to the rush at the phone, 25 seconds. Many tools stop around the halfway mark (generators compared).
  • It is silent, so the song comes from TikTok when you post.

Photo tips

  • One adult per photo, three photos, facing the camera, in even light.
  • The face should be sharp and fill a good part of the photo. Sunglasses, masks, heavy filters and tiny faces in a crowd are the usual reasons a face looks off.
  • One group photo isn’t accepted yet. Take three new photos rather than cropping a small group shot.
  • Only adults, and only people who agreed to be in the video: no children and no public figures.
  • Each face comes out as a strong likeness, not a twin. The video keeps your faces; it won’t put you in a costume or turn you into a cartoon chipmunk.

The sound

The download has no sound. In TikTok, upload the MP4, tap Add sound, choose “original sound - Spotifyremixes_” (or “original sound - keiford”) and leave it at 0:00. The video runs on the sound’s own clock, so the burst lands on the 6th beat at 2.35 seconds and the rush on the last bars. Don’t trim the start. Which sound to pick, and why, is on the Chipmunks Dance song page.

When to post

Saturday is the big day: 20 of the 83 posts past a million plays went up on a Saturday (US Eastern time). A friends trio fits a Saturday night; sisters and family, a weekend or the family group chat; coworkers, a Friday afternoon. Use #chipmunksdance, and ask who is who: about 50 comments under the big posts do exactly that.

Filming it yourselves instead

You need three people in one place, the routine learned by heart, a phone propped up in front of you and one clean take of the whole sound, with no cuts. Captions on the big posts talk about needing 30 tries. The moves, second by second, are on the Chipmunks Dance trend page.

If something goes wrong

If a face looks off, try a sharper, front-facing photo of that person in even light. If a video fails or times out, the credits come back automatically; a finished video that fails the safety check keeps them. See the refund policy for broken videos, or compare other ways to make it.
